The Santos was named after Louis Cartiers friend and hot air balloon pilot Albert Santos Dumont who requested Cartier solve his problem of reading the time while both his hands were busy piloting. And so the humble wrist watch came into being. This model is the small version of the all female, Quartz, delicate line time piece. Design features to call out are, the Scratch-resistant-sapphire crystal; The slim and smooth case with a diameter of 22 mm, the Roman numeral silvered opaline-white with blue steeled central hands dial; and finally the octagonal-shaped crown with blue faceted spindle.
