Watch Description:
The Rolex Air-King reference 14000 was produced from 1989 to 1999, so this one, with a production year of 1999 would have been one of the last 14000 models before the launch of the Rolex Air-King 14000M. With a case at 34mm it is equally at home on a gents or ladies wrist. The sporty steel oyster bracelet with foldover clasp does give the watch a slightly wider feel. From an aesthetic point of view the silver dial, with a very subtle sunburst radiating out from the middle makes for a magnificently eye catching feature especially on sunny days. Keeping with the dial, the absence of a date window with associated cyclops pane means the aesthetics on this dial are very uncomplicated and clean. There are eleven slim baton hour markers, with the easily recognisable Rolex icon sitting proudly at the top of the dial, in the 12 position. Also of note is the spot at the top of each baton offering luminescence at night. Functionally this watch is in beautiful condition; the caliber 3000 automatic movement is a self-winding one. A movement is shared with other Rolex sports watch pillars of that era such as the no-date Submariner and the Explorer. It is not COSC certified but of course is incredibly reliable and robust. This watch comes with a one year warranty and is available to view by appointment in a store in Co.Dublin. We feel the Air - King is a vastly under appreciated member of the Rolex family, so why note make an appointment to view this watch and find out why. Alternatively you can enjoy free, fully insured shipping in Ireland.
